Lewis' talk, entitled "A Journey from Delivering Physical Training Events to Live Virtual Learning Experiences," centers on the challenges and opportunities L&D departments face as they consider moving away from a classroom training model and implementing virtual training solutions for their organizations' employees. Lewis has emerged as an expert in this area, having led 3g Selling™ to become one of the first companies to successfully develop and launch a live, virtual learning platform for sales training. 3g Selling™, together with its parent company Market-Partners, was recently awarded a gold Learning in Practice award for Excellence in Content by Chief Learning Officer (CLO) magazine. The award was in recognition of a virtual sales training program 3g Selling™ produced earlier this year for Cisco Systems. The Learning 2009 conference will bring together chief learning officers, L&D managers, instructional designers and training professionals from around the globe. Foremost on attendees' minds will be topics such as: emerging technologies for learning; how to deliver high-impact training on a shrinking budget; and training employees with minimal disruption to the business. "Learning 2009 represents an incredible opportunity for training decision-makers to convene, discuss industry trends and timely issues, and experience new solutions being developed by innovative training companies like 3g Selling™," said Lewis. "We look forward to helping attendees understand and effectively manage their migration to a virtual training model. As we've demonstrated with our own customers, the new generation of virtual training isn't just about taking the same tired content and putting it on the Internet. We're on the cutting edge of a new medium, where the training programs resemble dynamic radio and television broadcasts more than they do the static e-learning modules of just a couple years ago. We believe organizations will be thrilled to hear that the right virtual training program can save them money, engage and motivate their employees, and achieve measurable results that in some cases are superior to traditional classroom training programs." 3g Selling™ has launched a microsite devoted to the event at www.3gSelling.com/learning2009. Here attendees can find information and resources about Lewis' talk, as well as a follow-up webinar the company is planning for December 2, 2009. |
