Founder of 3g Selling Speaks at ASTD 2011 International Conference & Exposition
Martyn Lewis presents a new paradigm in live virtual training

Santa Rosa, CA (May 12, 2011) – Martyn Lewis, founder of 3g Selling, a company that has pioneered a highly successful approach to the design and delivery of live virtual training, is a featured expert presenter at the Citrix Online Theater at the ASTD International Conference & Exposition 2011, held in Orlando, Florida, from May 22 through May 24. Lewis will be speaking about “The Role of Live Virtual in the Blended Learning World” on Monday, May 23, from 11:15 to 11:30 a.m., and on Tuesday, May 24, from 3:15 to 3:30 p.m., he will address the issue of “How To Overcome the #1 Virtual Learning Challenge: Engaging the Learning.” Both speaking events will take place at the Citrix Online Theater in booth #1343.

Citrix, a provider of virtual computing solutions, is featuring 3g Selling’s Lewis as an expert speaker to show how larger organizations with more sophisticated training needs can leverage the Citrix platform to deliver a richer, more immersive and transformational virtual learning experience. Citrix product manager Bob Lee points out that 3g Selling’s offerings integrate a variety of techniques, some adapted from broadcast media and others from the traditional classroom, to achieve greater business impact than is typical with most training programs, whether virtual or not

“A recent whitepaper we coauthored with 3g Selling demonstrates the compelling success achieved by companies that use this company’s novel approach to live virtual training, particularly in improved learner engagement and knowledge retention,” said Lee. “The depth of insight that has gone into the development and execution of 3g Selling’s programs yields dynamic improvements within a highly compressed timeframe.”

In the session held Monday, May 23, Lewis will focus on how live virtual fits into an overall blended learning model. Participants will see and learn the critical differences between virtual versus asynchronous learning and when live, web-based learning is most effective. Lewis will also reveal an optimal architecture for designing blended learning models and outline top five ways to make it all work.

The session on Tuesday, May 24, will explore why and how to match learning to the way people work and ends with a practical guide to engage learners and get results when you’re not physically present.
